SAFE

The cosmetics and beauty products industry is largely unregulated. Mainstream beauty products contain toxic ingredients that are linked to anything from allergies to cancer. Labels claiming “natural” or “organic” in vast majority of cases are neither, unless adding a flower extract to a pot of preservatives counts as organic.

USABLE

Imagine, after a lot of research you have found a shampoo that looks relatively harmless and is within your budget. Yay! You pour it in your hand to try out this organic goodness, you lather it on your hair – and lather – and lather… Alas, it just doesn’t do that. It’s like trying to lather glue. So close.

OK, so what's the blog about?

Majority of people would prefer their beauty products to be harmless. However, it is virtually impossible to navigate long lists of ingredients and make sense of them unless you are a chemist with photographic memory. Even if you have done some research and can name the brands that are generally known to be non-toxic, you will quickly realise that only some of their products really are. And others are as toxic as a £2 L’Oreal shampoo but smell weird and cost 10 times that.

My aim in this blog is to save you time and money by sharing with you the products that are non-toxic and actually work. I have tried many and I keep experimenting in my quest to find perfect beauty products that won’t give me cancer. I have tried all the products reviewed in this blog personally. I am not payed for reviews and I don’t accept any contributions from cosmetics companies.

This is a part of the larger effort to promote awareness about the beauty industry and help people make safer choices.
